Overview
GoSource is an AI-powered platform for building materials, offering a turnkey renovation for multifamily housing industry.
One key feature I helped design was the Estimate Tool, built to solve a critical pain point: generating fast, accurate renovation cost estimates.
Balance aimed to drive subscription growth by converting engaged free users into paying customers.
To grow subscriptions, we explored why free users weren’t upgrading to Balance+. We investigated why free users weren’t upgrading to Balance+. Only 5% visited the premium tab in their first week, and 70% didn’t know what Balance+ included.
We added a top-rated content carousel to the Home screen to give free users an immediate taste of Balance+. This made premium value visible from day one — resulting in a 12% increase in paid conversions.

GoSource wanted to grow its renovation volume from 100 to 1,000 units. Each PM handled 45 units over 45 days, and every additional day added cost.
Our product team’s role was to design the systems that would enable each manager to operate significantly more units. Goal – reduce renovation timeline from 45 days to 30 days.

The Estimate Tool led to a 16% reduction in renovation timelines, a significant drop in quote generation time. Leadership was highly satisfied, allowing us to shift focus toward external users and promote the tool to enterprise clients.
